Iphone Photo Phun - Mallrats
Well, I missed out on my Iphone Photo Phun post last week. Certainly it was a very busy week, but when I actually thought of it, I weighed my options of fishing out the phone cord, downloading the photos, and writing an legible post on my blog or I could go to bed. Sorry, peeps, the bed won. And the bed (or couch, or somewhat comfortable corner of the living room floor, or the kids' bed) continues to win out in many of the blogging vs. sleeping battles I've had lately.
Anyway. So there's a bunch of photos this week:
In Oregon, when you have three children screaming like banshees and racing up and down the stairs at breakneck speeds, you get a desperate need to take them to a park or playground. Only it's fall in Oregon, which means rain, rain, and more rain. So I take them to the mall for exercise. And while I'm waiting for the Spud to screech that he's done poopin' in the potty, I decide to take a preggo photo.

The Beast tests out one of many ridiculously awesome mustaches we purchased at the dollar store for Halloween fun.

The new winter hats at the Children's Place are to die for. Seriously, how cute are my three little raccoons? Like the frugal shopper I am, I am waiting for a good sale and may even pick up a tiny baby one for Little Sprout. :)

The kids are valiantly holding onto a giant Burmese python at a reptile show we went to at our local library. I am staying a respectable distance away, thank you very much.

The Beast is going to be a pirate for Halloween this year. He has no idea who Jack Sparrow is, but he sure loves this getup! Too bad he will be a short-haired pirate with an uber-fake mustache.

Hurray for the temporary Halloween store at the mall! We can go in every time and marvel at how shiny and fast-looking Lightning McQueen is. We can also hurry by the racks and racks of costumes that really ought to be reserved for the bedroom, if you know what I mean.
happy Iphone photo phun!

Iphone Photo Phun - Food (And Other Stuff)
Amidst all the busyness of the past week or so, I must have managed to pull out my Iphone a time or two to snap a quick photo. Here are the few photos that somehow try to convince you that all we did was watch movies and eat. A lot. I assure you that it's not so, but who takes pictures of all the hard work? I don't - I'm too busy eating to regain my strength for the next endeavor.
The kids decided to set up a "movie theater" one day as they watched Tangled twice in a row. Kindly disregard the pantlessness of the boys. It is the norm these days as we continue our potty training endeavors. I do not regret all the popcorn I had to vacuum up after this episode, but I am sorely wishing that that "At Last I See the Light" song from the movie would leave my head. Permanently.

More TV watching - this time at Grandma's house. Tom and Jerry never fail to amuse and fascinate my offspring.

So my Beast is obsessed with having things on his hands and arms. When gloves are not available, socks will do. When Grandma purchases new socks for everyone, they become even more enticing, especially the ones with pink heels. And did I mention it was 90 degrees out that day?!

One year at Christmas, the Nerd and I had this brilliant idea to buy each other restaurant gift cards at a discount (read: Costco) to ensure some fun date nights in the future. Recently we discovered one of these cards, which had somehow fallen behind our memo board. It was an occasion to celebrate; so we dumped the kids at their grandparents and went to McCormicks and Schmicks. The food was AH-MAZING. Naturally I had to get pictures of the yumminess. The Nerd calmly kept eating his Kobe beef burger and pretending that he had no idea why the crazy lady with him kept whipping our her phone to take pictures of their food. Above is my order of Parmesan-encrusted calamari with marinara dipping sauce.

My entree was Dungeness crab bisque - divine! We ended up sharing a fantastic creme brulee for dessert, but I had no time to take pictures as we were sharing and I certainly didn't want him to get more than me.
And if you were to whip out your phone right now and take a photo of me, um I guess it would be all about the food again. Candy corn and pumpkin lattes, to be specific. I'm just trying to will fall to get here a little faster, that's all. . .

Iphone Photo Phun - Don't Be Fooled
I am making the switch from Wordless Wednesday to Iphone Photo Phun, hosted by Taming Insanity. (No there are no coincidences in the fact that we both have the term insanity in our blog names and we both are currently preggo!) This is much more fun because let's face it - I ALWAYS have my life, er Iphone, with me and thus record a lot more of our family's shenanigans with it than my beautiful, expensive, large-and-doesn't-fit-well-into-any-purse-I-have DSLR camera.
We went to the coast a couple of weekends ago to visit grandparents. The Drama Queen rejoiced in the sand beneath her bare feet.

I took this self-portrait when I got bored of watching the kids do the same old cute things. Don't be jealous if you can't get that same wind-in-your-hair look. For some of us, it just comes naturally. . .

We enjoyed hamburgers at the Nerd's company picnic on Saturday. Never mind that the hamburgers were larger than the Spud's head.

Here is a shot of the "Chair Lift of Terror" I talked about in my previous post. How I had the presence of mind to ever pull out my Iphone and get this picture will forever be a mystery.

The kiddies got to drive around on mini-go-carts. The poor Drama Queen crashed into the siderail at every turn, hitting the gas instead of the brake. She is destined to be as great a driver as her mother. (and by the way, the Nerd gets to teach her how to drive when she turns sixteen. I'm not getting in the same vehicle as her when she starts driving!)

Here's a photo in which I tried to persuade the kids to pose sweetly together in front of Mt. Hood. yeah, don't come to this blog if you're looking for stunning family photography.

And that was our week or so in Iphone photos. Of course I didn't take photos of the Spud stealing cheese from the fridge and placing several bitemarks in said cheese before returning it to the fridge. I also did not choose to capture a photo of the boys shredding a wet diaper and then strewing it all over the living room. Nor did I wish to record in picture form the memory of the boys smearing glue stick all over the living room furniture. Just in case you were fooled by the photos above and thought we were a "normal" family. . .

Wordless Wednesday - Who Needs a Pool?
. . . my little men spent hours on Saturday dumping pitchers of water over their own heads. ah, life's simple little pleasures. . .
(and did I mention that both of them HATE to have their hair washed and rinsed during bathtime?!)
